Our Beliefs
Matthew 22:37-38; John 14:6, 26
The Trinity
We believe in one God revealed through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, working together in perfect unity. Our desire is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength; this is the greatest command we strive to live by. We believe Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and that the Holy Spirit guides, teaches, and strengthens believers in their walk with God.
2 Timothy 3:14-17; 1 John 2:3-6
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the absolute Word of God and that every disciple of Jesus Christ must make the Bible the standard for every area of their life.
Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 2:36-41; 1 Peter 3:20-22
Salvation
Salvation comes by grace through faith, and is expressed through Christ, Him being Lord, and repentance. We believe baptism is needed for salvation and the Holy Spirit is received after submersion.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Hebrews 3:12-13
Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ made up of baptized followers of Jesus. As one body, we meet together and help each other grow. We teach our children about God so that when they are young adults they may make their own personal decision to follow Christ. To that end, we believe strongly in the church family supporting every age group.
Matthew 28:18-20
Mission
As Jesus did, we are committed to seeking and to saving the lost, by making disciples of all nations. We believe each person must first be taught to be a disciple, baptized as a disciple, and then make disciples of others. We are committed to obeying Jesus’ command to do this personally and teach others, as we continue to grow ourselves. We believe in Jesus’ mission to serve the poor.
Ephesians 4:11-14
Leadership
The Bible calls each and every disciple to be both a follower and teacher, and the Bible also gives instruction for church leadership. We have a full-time paid staff of both men and women. The leadership of the local congregation rests in the hands of evangelists, elders, and teachers as a unified team with the support and input of lay leaders and members of the congregation. We also work closely with the leadership of other congregations in our global brotherhood.
